Advertising Sales Firm Seeks Experienced Sales Rep:
Byles & Associates, a Washington, D.C.-based advertising sales rep firm, seeks self-directed Sales Representative with three or more years experience in a sales and/or marketing capacity to sell print advertising space for magazine clients. This commission-based sales position offers a $1,000 per month draw against commissions, flexible hours and performance-based bonuses. Work is primarily completed via telephone sales calls. Occasional face-to-face meetings will take place throughout the D.C. area.
Job Overview: Via telephone sales, servicing existing advertising accounts and establishing new accounts with new advertisers; meeting quarterly
sales goals; and submitting paperwork to document sales process. Duties include: Initiating and closing the quarterly sales process for three
association publications, totaling 12 deadlines per year. This involves servicing existing accounts and generating new leads, obtaining orders, and closing the sales process. Work will primarily be completed in a home office, via telephone, with occasional face-to-face meetings with clients and Byles and
Associates senior staff. Weekly call reports to be submitted to management, with regular and ongoing communication with Byles and Associates sales
executive.
Skills and Qualifications: Strong Verbal Communication Skills, Sales Motivation and interest, Ability to Meet/Exceed Sales Goals, Prospecting
skills, Persistence, Enthusiasm, Flexibility, Warm Telephone Persona, and Detail-Orientation. Go-getters and self-starters with excellent phone persona and deal-closing abilities strongly preferred.
Other Details: Start date is immediate for this part-time, consultant based position. Compensation based 100% on commissions, including a $1,000/month draw against commissions. Increased draw and commissions, additional responsibilities, and bonuses offered as sales goals are met and exceeded.
